I was in Las Vegas this week for CES and saw my new gadget lust item: the Samsung Helix.
It's a portable XM receiver/recorder/mp3 player - no external antenna required, 50 hours of storage, blah blah blah. I can't explain why it appeals to me so strongly but it does. I want one.
Now. NOW! NOW!!!

i thought the pioneer inno was supposed to be the cool xm handheld device this year. so i took a look at a photo... clearly it is exactly the same device as the samsung helix. gee, so i wonder who is making the inno for pioneer...

Yeah, they are strikingly similar, no? I can't say why but I favor the Samsung model. More black maybe?
