On Sunday we hiked to the Lost Palms Oasis, on the south end of the park. This is a great hike and I highly recommend it. You pass through several different zones of the desert on the way to the oasis, which about four miles from the trailhead.

This is the view that greets you before you head down into the canyon that holds the oasis, which is home to over 110 native California Fan Palms. I did not see any camels though.
